When Highgate & Westin executives set out to transform the 31-year-old Long Beach mainstay into a more alluring attraction that could compete with Los Angeles and Orange County markets for convention business, they turned to VANROOY for its expertise designing unique gathering spaces. 

Adding to the firm’s already impressive list of completed design projects.  Their goal was to provide a high-end luxury residential feel to the overall space.  Providing the hotel effective operational solutions while giving the guests a California inspired modern coastal sensibility. 

The team found opportunities to open the space and still provide intimate areas for guests to connect. They complemented the gradual curved space with clean lines and organic patterned custom wall finishes. They used a canopy of treetops to inspire the carpet in the public spaces, while the guest corridors and rooms provided a clean crisp California coastal sun drenched feel.
